This class will feature two early spring herbs that may help to ease us out of our winter pause - the slowness that comes with the darker days, the decreased activity, the heavier, comforting foods. The turning inward. While spring here in the Pacific Northwest is still fairly cool and quite damp, we begin to see the days grow warmer and longer; the buds turn to flowers and leaves; we also begin to open outward as we step back into the world from our winter hibernation.
We will get to know some plants that can reinvigorate our systems, bring us out of our winter cocoons, into our budding and blossoming phases, and help us process and integrate the most recent season of “going within”.
After getting settled and grounding into our shared space, we will sit in meditation with our first plant friend. We will then have a chance to share and discuss our experiences with the group before we move onto the materia medica for that plant.
There will be a small break, then we will repeat with our second plant.
We will also briefly go over some other plant medicines that can help facilitate our transitions out of winter and into the spring.
I will have tea to share, and some mugs - or you can bring your own!
I will send out an email prior to the class with details on location, etc.
